A snake eating it’s tail is just like a piece of string tied into a circle. So it’s
easy to curl the string up into the shape you want to draw and sketch in some guide
lines on the paper.
Now sketch in the full pattern making sure you are happy which parts go over and which
go under.
Draw in the stylised snake’s head at the top and carefully ink in the outline of the
rest of the body. now draw another line all the way around the
inside of the snake. This is technically called an inline!
carefully draw lines inbetween the inlines. angling them as you go around the pattern
- then do the same in the other direction, creating a criss cross pattern.
Place dots in the centres of the pattern .
When you are sure the ink is dry, erase the pencil lines.
Finish off with a bit of shading where the snake’s body crosses over itself and you’ll
have a lovely celtic, viking, anglo saxon type design.
Well I hope you enjoyed that and if you did, make sure you are subscribe to this channel
