Librarians at the EMU library are ready to help you improve your research
skills and assist you with any questions that you may have about our resources
and services.
Eastern's librarians are faculty members with masters degrees in Information
Science and many have additional advanced degrees in their subject areas.
From the internet you can receive personal research assistance by using
our Ask a Librarian service.
By following the Ask a Librarian links you can chat with a librarian at any
time.
You can use the Ask a Librarian window on the library's homepage by typing your
question in the "Your Question/Message" area.
This service is staffed by Eastern's librarians and also librarians
from other universities.
When a local librarian in is not available,
use the "Click here to get research help 24/7" link
to chat with one of our partner librarians...
or use the email option
to send a question to Eastern's librarians.
Librarians can also be reached by phone at the Information desk.
When you visit the library in-person, our Information desk is staffed by library
faculty days and evenings to provide answers to questions about your research.
Librarians are also available in the Academic Project Center to help you with
in-depth research.
If you have a special or advanced question on a particular topic,
we invite you to contact one of our subject specialist librarians.
Just follow the "Subject Specialists" link on the library's homepage to find a
librarian with expertise in the subject you're researching.
Subject specialist librarians can work with you by phone or email or you can
schedule a personal conference for more in depth assistance.
