Welcome to the Writing Lab at Purdue
Here in the Lab, tutors engage in 1-to-1 tutorials
with undergraduate and graduate students on any writing project
including class papers, resumes, cover letters
lab reports, power points, graduate theses, and more
We can also help at any stage of the writing process
whether you just received an assignment or are refining a draft
When you come to the Lab, we'll have a conversation about your writing
and help make a plan for the next step in your project
whether that's outlining, researching, drafting, or revising
Although tutors do not simply proofread papers,
they will work with you on sentence-level concerns and grammar questions
No matter what, the Writing Lab is a collaborative space for receiving feedback
In addition, the Lab offers ESL conversation groups
where non-native and native speakers of English practice listening and speaking English
We also host in-lab workshops on many topics
like resumes and MLA style
Call us to reserve 30 min appointments in advance
or call/drop-in to see if an appointment is immediately available
You are allowed 1 appointment and 1 drop-in per week
at our main location, Heavilon 226
We also have evening hours in our satelite locations
Visit our website for info on satellite services
and more info about all of our services
From our homepage, you can find a link to OWL Mail
our e-mail service for specific writing questions
You can also access the Online Writing Lab (OWL)
which has info on many topics like MLA, APA, and more
We hope to see you at the Writing Lab soon!
