Radio Man: Have you heard about the Korean Wave?
has to do with the music, and the television
and entertainment.
I am very surprised, and to tell you the truth I always try to be the most updated with entertainment and music,
but I have to be honest that I didn't knew about this korean wave more than PSY.
and it results they are a complete phenomenon here (in México)
I'm going to go to commercials, I'm going to be back to talk more about this Korean Wave
specially about super junior this korean boy band and that are a event
they are going to hold a concert here in México in a couple of days. ( he leaves for commercials)
* Bonamana starts to play *
Bonama...
Bonamana
thats the name of the song that we are listening to, we are going to talk about Super Junior next.
but I was reading this morning that in just 4 hours...
they are going to come here in november 7th in Mexico City
but in just 4 hours for this group Super junior to sell all there tickets for there concert or that is what there facebook page said.
since thursday a lot of people were camping outside the place where they would sell there tickets
and when the sell started the fans didn't hesitate with buying tickets from $63 dollars to $226 dollars (here in México that is a lot like $1000 dollars)
the curious thing about it is that Alejandro Fernandez ( a very famous mexican singer) his concert tickets were all sold in a week
so he opened a second recital in the same date that suju and his tickets are still in sell.
this phenomenon shows the success of this korean wave or called hallyu in our country,
also other groups have come to México like wonder girls who opened the Jonas Brothers concert in Monterrey (Monterrey is a state in México),
Junsu, U-kiss
MBLAQ
but without doubt Super Sunior or as they call them SUJU is one of the most popular boy band group in there country (Korea)
all around the world and of course also here in México
with this thing of hallyu (Korean Wave) like how they are boy groups there are also girl groups that will soon come to our country,
it's a total phenomenon in there country (Korea)
I read more about this group...
of Super Junior
and that they debuted in 2005 but only till 2009 they got very popular,
talking about this korean wave....
this Korean Wave started in 2000 when South Korea started to produce a lot of programs of entertainment
eh...a lot of bands like this ones...like Super Junior a got a very high popularity there in their country.
at the beginning
were of low quality or apparently seems low quality
these productions
getting worldwide popularity
and now south korea produces many tv shows, they produce a lot of groups... artists like soloists that a lot of people around the world have found very attractive (very cool awsome lol)
and read also
2 years ago, in the 2011 a survey was made about the popularity of Hallyu (Korean Wave)
The result was around the world 3 million followers of the Hallyu
this census register in 2011 sixty thousand followers
and has increased considerably
in 2012 around the world there are 830 fan clubs
the number has varied
6 million followers of the Korean wave worldwide
this information are available on the internet
I was very curious about this thing about super junior of how fast they sold there concert tickets just in 4 hours
and I said "well this is fantastic but who are this people who is Super Junior",
I had no idea who they were but then I started to read and I imagine like me there must be a lot of people who don't know
about this hallyu or korean wave popularity and not just in our country but all around the world.
that's why I wanted to talk about this and it's of course because of this generation
I'm 40 years old and I repeat as much as, I want to be updated about this type of stuff
but it's kind of hard to find about this type of phenomenon like the korean wave (Hallyu).
well the case is that Super Junior is coming this next 7th of november and there tickets were all sold out in just 4 hours.
