Right now we have over 20,000 under the umbrella of the EOC that we serve
We actually are in support of our emergency management folks
Like our fire departments
Let's say if there should be a leaf or gravel
Or those kinds of pieces of equipment
We have that at our access that we can call in
From one of our other municipalities
To come in to support an emergency need
We have a full-time EOC person
That works as the operation coordinator
And serves us 24/7
We are able to communicate everywhere
Whether it be in the United States or even beyond that
We're able to go directly to PEMA and FEMA
Through the radio system that you see behind you
And also support local radio communication
In case of failures
Including Erie County Emergency Management
The radio equipment as far as communiation
The computers that we use
That we go on to the network
Which is called Knowledge Center software package
That we use to communicate throughout the Commonwealth
ECGRA has really been key as far as being able to purchase
This equipment you see around you
Right now there are four antennae systems that we put up
They're on 80-foot poles, wooden poles
And they have a wide spectrum of radio frequencies
That come off of these antennae
We can be in direct contact with FEMA or PEMA if we need to be
ECGRA grant money works
