On behalf of Expert Village, I'm Laura Banford and I'm going to show you how to make super
lasagna and Caesar salad. Now we're going talk about the ingredients that you'll need
to make your super lasagna. I think the first thing we should talk about are the noodles.
These are no boil noodles. As you see, they're thin, nice and flat as oppose to the fatter
ones with the wiggly edges. Those are much thicker and make for a heavier lasagna, and
I like those, especially if you have to boil them first. These you just lay it right in
the pan and as long as you have enough sauce, they're going to cook in the pan. You don't
have to boil them first. That's what we're going to use. I really like those. This is
a can of prepared marinara sauce, very plain. We have a little bit of red wine. It's a fruity
merlot. We have nice raw pork sausage that we're going to slip out of their casings and
sauté. Then we have the vegetables that we're going to need for our sauce. Onions, garlic,
a little bit of basil, then we have some carrots. I always like to use carrots in a red sauce.
It makes it sweet. I also have some oregano, both fresh and dry oregano. Then the cheese
portion of our dish. We have some fresh ricotta. This is whole milk ricotta, nice and rich.
We have some mozzarella. That slice mozzarella. It's the kind that you would use if you're
making the mozzarella and tomato salad, so that's a really good quality. It has a lot
of flavor on it's own. Some store bought, but high quality, Alfredo sauce. When we come
back, we're going to prep our onions and our garlic for our sauce.
