Hi, I’m Fynn from Bandist.
Thomas Eich was so kind to send us one of his new Bassamps, from his new line Eich Amps.
Here we've got the 1x12 Combo, the BC112. And we’ll have close look on it today.
Underneath the classic design and the black tolex, hides a 300 watts transistor amp
In a really small box with really tiny dimensions as you can see
and weighs only 14 Kgs
The power of the amp comes through a 12” Ceramic Speaker, and a 4” cone drive.
Let’s have a closer look on the controls of the amp. As always it all starts with an input jack
Behind that you’ll find the Gain ***, which controls the volume level of the preamp.
Afterwards, we got a small and nice feature, the Taste Control
Which offers a range from "dry" to "rich", that offers different sound shapes we will show later.
EQ Settings: Flat
After this section comes the classic EQ, with controls for bass, low mids, high mids, and highs.
EQ Settings: Funk
The last part of this panel includes, of course, the master volume
The power switch that, as you might have figured, switches the amp on and off
and a DI Out, which is adjustable with a ground / lift switch and a Post EQ switch
This switch gives you the option to route the EQ of the Amp in your Lineout signal.
Furthermore we got a Mute Button that mutes the amp completely
EQ Settings: Rock
Now we’re going to show you how that little Taste Filter works.
On the back of the amp we found some interesting features as well.
The first thing is a speaker out to power external speakers with 8 ohm.
Another switch gives us the possibility to switch of the internal speaker
which is a great add on to the Rehearsal Section.
In this Rehearsal Section we got a Headphone Output
and an Aux In, to play music from an MP3 Player over the amp for the perfect rehearsal fun
without *** off the neighbours.
Furthermore we got a Send and Return for Effects
a Line Out and a Tuner Output.
The last interesting feature of the amp is the 45° monitor position,
when we take the metal pin from underneath the amp and fit it in the hole right there.
I’m going to show you that briefly.
And as easy as it gets, you got the amp in the right position for every club
to hear yourself rocking it.
That was our brief review of the Eich Amp BC112.
We’d be glad if you tune in the next time.
So stay tuned. Fynn
