If you find that your Galaxy Note 8 is not functioning as it should
you may need to reset your device back to its factory settings.
Follow along to learn how to perform a proper reset.
If you haven't powered down your device in a while
begin by attempting a simple reboot by powering off your device
and then powering it back on.
If your device is still having problems
to perform a reset, access your Settings application
and scroll down to "Backup and reset".
Select "Factory data reset".
Please note: Performing this reset will erase ALL of your personal data
and applications, and revert the device back to its original settings.
After reading the reset information, select "Reset device".
When prompted, select "Delete all".
Your Galaxy Note will power off, and then begin the reset.
You can see the progress of the reset on your screen.
Please note, do not power off your device during the reset
as it could cause issues.
When complete, follow the setup prompts
until your device is ready again for use.
Another simple way to perform a reboot, if your device stops working
or freezes, is to press and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
The device will power down without you having to access the screen.
