Hi, and welcome to Hair With Hollie. So today we are going to do this really cool
3 bun braided updo. So its really good for formal occasions or
even for going back to school.
[Music]
So to start off this look I'm just going to pin back a few tendrils from around the front
of the face. So if you have bangs or fringe your grand, but its kind of nice and soft
if you just leave a few bits down. Nice and casual doesn't have to be to neat, just about
there. So clip these up and come back for them at the end of the style.
So the most important step in this look is sectioning. So what were going to do is section
the hair off into three pieces, so you can probably go four if you have quite thick hair
and you want four buns. So the first section is an inch over the ear, so we will do that.
Keep that up out of the way.
And then we are going to split the remaining sections in two. So we are going to have two
smaller sections down here. So once you got your sections organized we are going to start
on the top section plaiting and wrapping it into a bun. So for this I'm just going to
give it a bit of a backcomb at the root maybe put in a bit of volumizing dust just to give
it a bit of a lift at the top of the head. Using a backcomb brush I'm going to brush
down through the layers just so you have a little bit more volume at the crane. Your
going to pull it back into a little bobbin, just makes it a little easier to plait as
So you can keep the plait as loose or as tight as you like, I've gone quite loose here because
it adds just quite a little bit of texture which is nice. I'm going to pop another little
bobbin in at the end, so I'm using these little elastics which are a little bit knotty but
they will do. This will help you wrap it around.
So just mold the bun to whatever kind of shape you want, you can have it quite tight or quite
loose. Then I'm just going to pin in place using curvy grips that are the same shade
of the hair. So we're just going to do the exact same thing with this pony tail right
here. Plait it down, tie a little bobbin on it, wrap it round and pin. ok and finally
were just going to do the exact same thing with the last bit of hair here.
Once your happy with the buns were just going to flip frames and tackle the little bit of
hair that we left back at the start. So were going to split it in the middle here. So I'm
just going to put a little bit of heat on the hair to give it a little bit of move and
keep it nice and soft. So just wrap it around the tongs away from the face just for a couple
of seconds do you get a nice bouncy curl. SO I'm just going to do the exact same thing
on the other side. So once your happy with the look and the tangles in the front were
just going to finish off the whole thing with a little bit of hairspray.
So there you have it guys a really quick and easy 3 braided bun updo. If you do like this
video do give it the thumbs up and don't forget to tune in next week when we'll be showing
you how to do some super curl crazy Halloween hair. Bah! See you next week!
