Host: Big Budah's challenge has gotten even bigger. He's included
Dan in this challenge. So you need to be able to lift
him up. Dan: That's going to be tough.
Host: But he's going to be svelte, because he's going to lose some weight.
Dan: I sure hope so, because I'm not going to gain any muscle.
Big Budah: Let me just start here
where I've just met Mark.
We just met, we just talked. The first question he asked me was...
Mark MacDonald: Are you exited? You're fired up, Budah.
Big Budah: I don't know if I'm fired up.
Ok, I'm fired up!
Mark: You rocked the program man, we're taking it to the next level
Big Budah: A whole 'nother level. Dan: He's going to pump you up.
Big Budah: He's going to pump me up, and hopefully after, I can pump myself up.
Or my wife is going to crack that whip.
Let's introduce you. You are a NY Times bestselling author.
How has the ride been? How did you
come to be this guy on the front of the book?
Mark: Like many people,
I was a soccer player growing up, ate whatever I wanted
and stayed lean. The moment I stopped playing soccer, I put on
sixty pounds. I went from 190 pounds to 250.
I freaked out. I went on a crash course diet,
cut my carbs, cut my calories, got my body fat back down
to four percent. I looked amazing.
I lived as a fitness model in Los Angeles for four years,
looking amazing but feeling horrible.
I used exercised as an athlete, used diet and deprivation as a fitness model.
There should be a better way. That's what led me to blood sugar stabilization
and body confidence.
Big Budah: I know you from
when I watched those YouTube videos "Ditch the Diet".
That's a term that I hear all the time. Is that the philosophy?
Mark: It's all about ditching the diet, because that's what people do.
You want to lose weight right now, and you can.
Anyone can lose weight. All you have to do is cut your calories and cut your carbs.
But once you lose that weight, what happens? Life pushes back,
and you gain the weight back. When you shift your mindset
to ditch the diet, actually use food to create
internal hormonal balance, not cut calories, not deprivation,
three simple things. Eating every three to four hours,
the right amount of protein, fat, carbohydrates, and the right calories.
Once you do that, you unlock your body's full potential.
Big Budah: This is a handsome man, all I saw were his lips moving
and I can see why people are motivated.
I've only been two minutes with Mark and I'm already jacked out!
I want to do this!
Host: Are you ready to ditch the diet?
Big Budah: That brought me back down a little bit.
I'm cool now, I'm cool.
We should hug it out.
This is my new hug right here.
Bam! Bam!
Dan: Watch the hands.
Big Budah: I'm jacked up. I'm fired up!
Mark: We're taking Budah to the next level.
Big Budah: Ok, we're going to get things started, we'll talk to some
people who are involved with Gold's Gym coming up next.
We're going to delve into this book. I don't know if I need any more confidence, Dan.
Dan: I don't think he needs any more spankings.
Big Budah: If I was white, you could see how red my face is right now.
Alright buddy, let's do this!
90 day on it's way. Bye guys, we'll be back.
