Have you or a friend ever experienced:
*** harassment, crime, *** assault
intimate partner abuse, stalking, discrimination,
bias motivated incidents, serious accidents,
harassment, or physical assault?
Impacts of these experiences may include but are not limited to:
emotional, physical, social,
academic, financial, and health.
I was not sure who I could talk to, or who I could trust.
OVA supported me the whole time. I felt less alone.
I learned I had many different options.
OVA -- the Office of Victim Assistance -- provides free confidential information,
counseling, advocacy, and support.
That means OVA staff cannot share information with others
without the client's permission.
Advocacy means: informing of rights and options, providing information and answering questions,
assistance in navigating systems, and supporting the person in whatever they decide is best.
People do not have to identify with the word "victim" to use OVA services.
OVA did not label me, or my experience.
