Iowan will be talking about
today... The big Cy-Hawk
Showdown.
KCCI's Kim St. Onge is live with
important safety tips if you
plan to go to the game.
Thousands of Cyclones and
Hawkeyes fans will be gearing up
for the game... So that means
I-80 could be very congested all
day Saturday. So the Iowa State
Patrol has some safety tips if
you plan on
going to the game. Some of
these are the more obvious
safety tips you hear a lot but
always a good reminder! First,
plan ahead and leave early. Be
ready for heavy traffic
delays along I-80, especially
near Iowa City. Stay off your
phone and avoid other
distractions! Don't drink and
drive and finally buckle up!
The Iowa State Patrol doesn't
plan to have more troopers out
than a typical game day, but
there will be some officers
along I-80 as usual, so you'll
want to watch your speed.
They'll also be keeping a close
eye for anyone drinking and
driving. And remember the KCCI
Sports Team has the game covered
from beginning to end. Join
Andy Garman, Scott Reister, and
Tony Seeman for the "CyHawk
Showdown pregame special"
tonight at 6:30pm here on KCCI.
Then Saturday night after the
game, tune in to KCCI 8 News at
10 for the "CyHawk Showdown Post
Game Live"... Complete
highlights, reaction, analysis
and more live from Des Moines
and Iowa City.
