to commission the loops you will require a calibrated test meter and test certificate
connect a signal generator or an MP3 player loaded with Ampetronic’s calibrated test signals and input the sign wave signal
adjust the amplifier so that several LED's are lit
on the test certificate draw a sketch of the room and mark on the test positions that you are going to use and set the FSM meter to field strength and take measurements at your designated positions, record the results
if the level is too high or too low adjust the amplifier and re-measure
when you have achieved the correct level, record the final readings
zero, that's going to be a zero, minus one
next switch the FSM meter to frequency response and select the 100 Hz setting
change the input signal in the amplifier to pink noise, measure the signal level and record the readings
repeat this for the 1k and 5k frequency settings
if the 1k and 5k signals are lower than the 100Hz you can adjust the metal loss control to level them out
when we produce an installation design as long as the loops are correctly installed and tested to the standard then the system should perform and conform to the IEC60118-4 and BS7594 standards on loop performance
