Hey this is Phil Coonrod on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to talk about Madden
'08. Alright with the next button here on our defensive audibles is going to be our
X button. We're going to go ahead and we're going to choose it with A button for X. And
what I like to do with my X button is I like to have a nickel, a play out of my nickel
defense. Nickel is a really versatile defense, probably your most versatile it's okay against
the run. It's not as good as the four three or a four six or something like that, but
it's good enough to make a play against a running play. And also you have an extra defensive
back in the secondary, so you're not going to be too; too bad on if they come out with
four wides or something. So really versatile formation, and I'm going to go ahead and select
it, and I'm just going to find what I like. I really like to pick a zone play out of this
because I like to blitz a lot when I normally play. Maybe you don't blitz a lot you call
a lot of coverage schemes, so you might want to pick a blitz here. But I do blitz a lot,
so I'm going to pick a safe defense, probably a cover three to use if I can find one here.
I'm probably going to do a cover three without a blitz, so I just got to find my cover three.
Cover three normal, there it is, you're going to be good against the run cause you have
your nickel back slide into the flat. You're right outside linebacker sliding into the
flat; you have good flat protection, a couple of guys in the middle. Then you have your
deep third responsibilities by your corner and one of your safeties, so this is a really
safe, safe play to have in your audibles. Like I said I blitz a lot, I need a safe play,
if I think that my blitz isn't going to work. So for my X button I'm going to go ahead and
do cover three normal.
