Direction: Albania
Looking at the map of Europe, you need to take a good look to notice this small country
located on the Balkan peninsula, but it is worth the effort.
We invite you on a journey during which we would like to learn a little more about Albania
and see what it can offer. To this end, we have met people involved in tourism here,
often being pioneers in their field.

Here is a bit of everything in Albania: beautiful canyons, the biggest karst spring in Europe, the sea with all possible types of shores.
We can see everything that we`ve learned about on geography lessons. There`s much more than bunkers!
Albania has more than 350 km of the seacoast. Crystal clear water, stunning weather, beautiful beaches and bays,
scenic routes as well as numerous hotels and restaurants make the Albanian Riviera the most visited region by tourists.
However, we wanted to see what can be found here apart from beach resorts.
Albania is mostly mountainous.
In 2010, Polish Alpine Club undertook the task of marking the trail to the highest peak of Albania, Mount Korab,
and several Polish caving clubs explore the area.
Mountains of Albania reach almost 2800 meters and are very diverse.
We can see many beautiful rivers and canyons here but there is practically no tourist infrastructure.
Albanian mountains are also a popular place to offroad driving.
This does not mean, however, that they are inaccessible to the ordinary tourist.

In Albania, one can easily cut off from civilization,
so if you love the untouched nature, you certainly won't be disappointed.
We get to the beautiful Gjipe canyon, which flows into the sea creating a fabulous beach.
Easily accessible rock walls ending directly above the water make it one of the most attractive climbing destinations in Albania.

Albania has very beautiful places, I advise that it should be seen from the north to the south.
The beauty of Albania doesn't end, each of the places has something characteristic.
Every season, we explore almost all rivers of Albania with well-prepared people, who have licences to do rafting.
This sport is turned into tourism, it has many visitors from around the world and it is really a sport that gives you a lot of adrenaline.
It makes you get to know the beauty of Albania.
We are in historical Berat, called the city of a thousand windows.
History of Albania is very rich and there are many preserved monuments from different ages.
We visited also the Apollonia Archaeological Park with the ruins of the ancient city.
Unfortunately, we did not have time to visit perhaps the most charming archaeological site of Butrint, a settlement in the southern Albania.
Our journey concludes in the capital city, Tirana.
Albania was for some time separated from the rest of Europe, so now we can discover it anew.
Today, Albania is dynamically developing and seeks to integrate with the European Union.
This is certainly an amazing country which, in comparison with the rest of the continent, can offer a truly unique experience.
Albania still hides many secrets and we will definitely come back again.
Meanwhile, we invite you to describe your experience and opinions about this beautiful country in the comments,
and to follow our next trips! See you again!
