not only our tuition prices for college already incredibly high
and already people are coming out of high amounts of that but that that is
actually works for women and here is why women are coming out of the university's
having pain
simply in the exact same cost as
uh... an their male counterparts
they are getting paid

this study finds that one year after graduating with a bachelor's degree the
average woman
is turning only eighty two cents for every dollar than a male earnings and

the types of careers that women are choosing their choosing careers in a
liberal arts and not the sciences may just don't pay as well war there only
working part time because they want to raise a family

potential excuses and to some extent
that is sometimes the case however this study found
that their are factors that just do not explain it
that that's the case yet
when women majored in business old we're taking
women and men meeting the in the exact same thing as
uh... and getting comparable job
obs and comparing what they're making women majoring in business are earning
thirty eight thousand dollars a year marion forty-five in engineering in
engineering technology and a ninety world women earning about seventy seven
to eighty percent of what a man is earning
and even in teaching which that's kind of one of the main
fall back to the people go to his while women to become teachers and then become
engineers so
that's that's your problem for choosing a career and that's your fault that
you're making less money 'cause teaching displays lesson engineering
in teaching which does attract more women
when there are only hurting eighty nine percent of what a man turns
so
first of all this is a huge
gender inequity in our society that is
all too prevalent and
really on on not on of course that changing
anytime soon because republicans just shot down at one of the fair pay acts of
congress earlier this year enormous and support

specifically for you young women just graduating college it's gonna meany
you're gonna have a harder time came back your loans

not allot to fit you can do about it except for like we said

complete inequity we do have to be smarter about managing our dynamic

is that women should be willing to negotiate for a higher pay when taking
jobs

people have looked at right the exact exact same resume one has a female name
on it one has a male name on it
and they throw out where would i not hire this person and here is that how
much i would pay them

they're gonna hire the male and they're gonna
pay him more so don't use images because you're interviewing for a job in the

definitely push for a higher salary especially because

tend to get better grades on average
uh... and we also this study on the color of a couple months ago about and
is at eleven different characteristics that would neatly into something good
leader
uh... in their their job and that women odometer on the majority of them which
is really interesting uh... sold and are women are going to college in general
and then say i think it
is also more women

um... they also there's this historic inequity it doesn't seem to be fixing
itself and unfortunately if you elect republicans it doesn't seem like it will
in the future so there are there are unfortunately many things you can do in
the short term
to fix this

i mean how many generations of women the world workforce to even have we're not
going to have thirty and they're still going to be making thirty percent less
than men it's going to be fixed whether three policemen
our way and when you and i can't say that we only have a couple of
generations of women the workforce since you have guys they're doing hiring
daughters guys are doing the promotions
and so whether intentionally or not they're putting women down yeah but
that's not going to last a hundred years secondary well cut i mean we're still
seeing the impact that slavery had on this nation within that
african-americans are not as well ask overall is slight people so
absolutely i think that if if there is in some sort of action taken
this could go well into the future it still means seventy seven cents
you know that's gross fifty million over like you know it is over two-thirds but
it's barely over two-thirds barely over three-fourths of we should have people
