I liked most about the Cubs White Sox Day was the competitiveness.
You know, it’s always fun to joke around with some of the
other colleagues that are Cubs fans.
It was fun to kind of razz each other and
keep track of scores throughout the day and
give each other a little bit of grief as certain teams took the lead,
but it was mostly one-sided for us Cubs fans.
Sox fans outnumbered us Cubs fans at least 3 to 1.
A little bit of smack talking going back and forth.
You actually got to hang out and
socialize with somebody that normally you may not
just because of the shirt that they were wearing.
Had a raffle
that followed a quiz about baseball knowledge
and the winner got tickets to the Cubs Sox game.
Well I don’t particularly care for baseball, but I love hot dogs.
And we had hot dogs for lunch that day.
And they were delicious.
Even like during a busy work week when we’ve got a lot of stuff going on and it’s hot,
just to step back, take a break,
everybody just kind of mingles and eats food and has a picnic and has a good time,
it’s just, it’s kind of nice, it kind of like, resets your brain.
It allows you to go back to work and actually focus on things, you know?
Definitely thought it was a great opportunity to just kind of like,
relax and you know, forget about work for a little while at work and
just kind of hang out with your fellow employees and have a good time.
It was a really, really good time, it was really nice.
