this is very simple model to understand atomic radiance. for this we need a
old CD or DVD cover case
take the cover case, open it up, remove the CD or DVD and the black plate inside
and then you take ball bearings
specially the ones which are used in the bicycle pedals. these are big balls
and fill this plastic cover with ball bearings and shut the lid
take sticky tape and seal all the four sides with sticky tape so that none of the balls can fall off
this will make it temper proof. the ball will stay inside. then you take this cover and keep
rotating it
and you fill find that many of the atoms, how these atoms are arranged inside a cold material,
how there are fault lines at times, at times the atoms are
very closely packed together, they snug together
all these
arrangements you can see through this model
all you need to do is keep turning it
keep tapping it and every time the balls will arrange. now this is
a very close packaging of the atoms. At places you can see fault lines, you can see that
there are wide gaps in between which indicates the fault
