When travelling in London Town it's easy to raise a frown
so please do try not to forget these simple rules of etiquette
Platforms are really quite long so it just seems rather wrong
to stand together in one place (with someone's backpack in your face).
By moving down a little more you'll be much quicker through the door.
Now the pushy-type that jumps aboard right ahead of the travelling hoard
refuses to let others out (even though they scream and shout)
is someone who deserves up out pity for not knowing how to travel in this city
And whilst it's tempting to obstruct the doors you should know what this can cause
it doesn't just delay the train, but can mean damage, hurt and pain.
Now we don't mean to chide but try to move along inside
so fellow travellers won't have to face an invasion of their personal space.
And when feeling sick or suffering pain, it's tempting to try to stop the train.
but reaching out for the alarm can actually cause a lot more harm.
It takes us longer to get to you and stops the trains from going through.
So that's the simple explanation why you should wait until the station.
We love those papers you get for free but, we're sure that you'll agree,
that love very quickly turns to hate if they block the doors and make us late.
So, and this is just to let you know, take them with you when you go.
Could all travellers take heed, and offer seats to those in need.
We know that may seem rather bold but please don't wait until you're told.
Now all this isn't meant to preach, just to remind, inform and teach.
Because, and we don't mean to flatter. To us, all your journeys matter.
