- [Voiceover] Your phone is a gateway to your entire life.
It connects you with your family,
your friends,
your banking,
and your email.
That's why it's important that you keep your phone secured.
Android phones allow you to set a lock code,
but it's important to set something that's hard to guess,
not password, or 1111.
Some new phones allow you to use your fingerprint.
It's something no one can steal.
Not all Android phones are the same,
but they all should be similar.
To set your lock code, open Settings.
Go to Lock screen and security, under Personal.
Select Screen lock type,
and create a passcode that is at least six digits long.
Eight is ideal.
You can also set a fingerprint to use.
Remember to never share this passcode with anyone.
