LANCE BASS: So tell us about the show.
JOEY FATONE: No, it's awesome.
It's pretty cool.
It's very similar to "Dancing with the
Stars," but it's YouTubers.
It's people that either they're YouTubers on-- and
people that subscribe to-- millions
and millions of people.
Whether they do makeup, whether they're
pranksters or comedians.
LANCE BASS: So they're not all dancers at all.
JOEY FATONE: Not dancers, at all, really.
LANCE BASS: They're the celeb [INAUDIBLE]
JOEY FATONE: Or some, yes, some of them are just gamers.
Some of them are gamers.
Some are just all these different people.
-Cool.
JOEY FATONE: And it's pretty cool.
They put them in there.
They throw their butts in there.
They go through a kind of vigorous
rehearsal schedule of dancing.
And then they come out there, and they perform for us.
LANCE BASS: So who wins?
JOEY FATONE: We don't know yet.
Because the cool thing about it, is they're airing every
Friday night, I believe, on DanceOn
Network, which is on YouTube.
LANCE BASS: So you go to YouTube.
You search DanceOn Network.
JOEY FATONE: Yep.
DanceOn.
LANCE BASS: You get all the episodes there.
JOEY FATONE: Well, you get three of them that
are out right now.
And every Friday comes out a new one.
I think this Friday is the one where you actually see us
judging for the first time.
So far, did introductions of all the
performers, and the people--
the professionals-- that are dancing, as well.
Some people've been on "So You Think You Can Dance," as far
as the coaches and the trainers.
-That's cool.
JOEY FATONE: But it's pretty cool.
It's been fun.
It's been a blast.
And then, I think November--
what is it?
November-- where's the big finale?
I'm looking at it because it's so confusing.
Because there's so many dates that I have in
my head right now.
And I even have it in my calendar.
-It's in December.
JOEY FATONE: In December, there's gonna be the finale.
And they're gonna get a chance to win $100,000.
I mean, $100,000.
-That's a lot.
JOEY FATONE: For being on YouTube, just
learning a dance routine.
Learning one dance really, right now.
And then they'll be learning another one.
-Really?
JOEY FATONE: Yeah.
LANCE BASS: That's crazy.
Now this D-trix, he's the host.
Have we worked with him?
He looks really familiar.
JOEY FATONE: No, he's been on "So You Think" as well.
He's been on a couple of dance--
no, not "So You Think." He's been on "So You
Think," but he was also--
danced the same season with Dance Crew, "America's Best
Dance Crew."
LANCE BASS: Yep, yep, yep.
JOEY FATONE: Same as the JabbaWockeeZ, if that helps.
LANCE BASS: Oh, he's part of Quest Crew.
JOEY FATONE: Yes.
-So the YouTube celebrities work with different
choreographers?
JOEY FATONE: They work with different-- yeah.
There's Laurieann Gibson.
A couple of other-- not Laurieann Gibson--
but a couple other of the people that have been dancers,
or are trained dancers.
They basically learn just like we did at "Dancing with the
Stars." You have a professional,
and then they learn.
And it's been interesting because there's one or two
people that have two people on YouTube.
So it's like a trio-- it's like a threesome
dance kind of thing.
Which is interesting.
Yeah.
LANCE BASS: I like that.
JOEY FATONE: Kind of fun.
I go and pick people out, and go, hah, you suck!
LANCE BASS: That's the perfect job for you, Joey.
JOEY FATONE: Yes.
