Today we are going to install a 4-pole and 7-pole connector by Hoppy, part number 30955,
on a 2006 GMC Sierra. This wiring connector that we are installing goes right into the
factory connector. So I would start with lowering the spare tire for good visibility. You are
going to want to take the existing wiring down so you can use this excess slack to run
it to the bumper so you can mount the connector. Once you get the wiring harness taken down
and the cap pulled off, then you are going to need to mount your mounting bracket to
the bumper. Once you find a good location, mount the bracket with the self-tapping screws.
Now that we have the bracket installed, we are going to install the 4-pole and 7-pole
connector to the factory wiring harness. Then we are going to connect them first and then
we will mount our hardware. Now, once you have everything connected, then go ahead and
finish mounting the connector to the bracket. Once you have everything buttoned up here,
we are going to zip-tie the wires to the existing wires so they are out of the way. And that
concludes our install of the 4-pole and 7-pole connector by Hoppy, part number 30955, on
a 2006 GMC Sierra.
