Hi! My name is Marcia, you can call me Ma. I've been a teacher here at LSI for 13 years and I've been teaching TOEIC for 6.
First can you tell me more about the TOEIC test?
TOEIC stands for Test of English for International Communication. It's a test with 7 parts.
Parts one, two, three, and four are listening
and parts five, six and seven are the reading part, which includes vocabulary and grammar as well.
Most people take the TOEIC for business purposes. Some international schools also require a TOEIC score.
What should I expect if I take the TOEIC class?
You should expect a daily practice in terms of vocabulary & grammar, and also listening practice.
So you're going to practice how to do the TOEIC test.
Could you tell me more about how your class could help me with my reading score?
When you do the reading, you're going to be exposed to vocabulary that is kind of a repeat of what you saw in class
because it's a business language kind of test.
Can you tell me about the listening test?
We practice the listening parts at the beginning of every class.
And you are going to be exposed to different accents because the TOEIC material has speakers from different countries and cultures.
For example there is the American accent, the British accent, the Australian accent, and Canadian accent.
OK Ma. Thank you for answering my questions.
My pleasure! Good luck, Kyle.
