Hello there, I’m Jim Glover, That Branding Guy, for Once a Day Marketing. Today is Strategic
Tuesday, and we are going to be looking at ways that you can save money within your organization
and at the same time enhance your customers’ experience. As always, thanks for joining

anything that you can do to spread the word of Once a Day Marketing is greatly appreciated.
Let’s take a look now at cheaper ways to wow your customers. You’ve heard of the
expression Faster, Better, Cheaper, by that what I mean is that the product that you create
is faster or better or both for your customers but it costs your less. And you can do it
through the new technologies that are available or it can still be something traditional.
Let’s take a look at a couple of examples. For instance, banks today you go up to the
ATM, you slide your check in and it scans it and makes an instant deposit for you. Now
they don’t have to physically handle the check, imagine how much of a cost savings
that might be to the bank. They don’t have a million checks everyday that they are dealing
with.
On the other side, some of the higher end restaurants now allow you to call and order
your food. When you drive up to the restaurant right in front they have established preferential
parking just for take-out customers. You go in a door and there is the take out window
and you pick up your food. So now you get the food when you want it and zoom, you are
back home and the restaurant, they don’t have to devote as much of a wait staff to
take care of you, they don’t have to devote tables and so forth. So everybody wins. They
save money and you have a faster, better product.
How do you go about saving money while enhancing the customer experience? What you need to
do is look at your organization and see what processes are in place and perhaps you can
create something that is a traditional enhancement or a new technology, perhaps digital, enhancement
that costs your company less and still provides a better service to your customers.
You need to look at those opportunities and then look at the costs associated with the
benefits and if you find that you can actually reduce costs by providing an enhanced product
or service back to your customers then that is something that you should seriously consider
and set into motion over time. And I think you will find that your customers are thrilled,
they get something that is faster and better and for you it was cheaper.
I hope now you are giving some thought to how you can improve the process, save yourself
money and enhance the products and services for your customers.
