There's not a lot of people that get to walk this campus knowing that their
father, grandfather, and great grandfather all walked the same paths that they were
that day and there's so much history here at A&M and it's really exciting
to know that my family has some part in that history throughout the years and
when my great grandfather was here there wasn't any women at this university and
to know than I am part of the family history and one of the women
that get to have that Aggie Ring on my finger is just really exciting you know.
My great-grandfather, J.B. Senior,
graduated in nineteen twenty seven. My grandfather, Thomas Bell, graduated in
nineteen fifty five. My father, Stuart Martin Bell, graduated in nineteen
eighty-two and I'm the class of twenty twelve.
Getting my Aggie Ring was probably one of the most exciting days of my life and I'll
remember it for ever. When my dad opened that box and that gold ring was sitting
right there, it took my breath away and I couldn't help but start crying because I
knew how proud he was and how proud I was of myself to
finally get to the day where I'm getting my Aggie Ring and my dad said
welcome to the club, and it was really exciting to hear that.
