Observe height of landing and distance to obstacle is important for any agility challenge.
You want to be sure the dog has enough space to execute the challenge. For the table command,
tables will be placed in various places on the course. This is a little trickier of a
challenge, compared to the over command the dog can sail, with a table command the dog
has to hit the table, stop, lie down and pause for five seconds. With that being said, we
don't want the dog to approach too quickly. They may be going to fast, they may slide
off and you would lose points for not executing that obstacle. So, it's important to know
the course, know the obstacles, before and after the actual obstacle that you're looking
to achieve, get your dog familiar with the height and the size. Table commands, like
I said, are generally going to be three feet by three feet and anywhere between eight to
thirty inches tall.
