Hello, and welcome to this instructional screencast on the Curator's Workbench. This is Jennifer
Martin from the Carolina Digital Repository.
In this screencast, I will show you how to share projects between different instances
of the Workbench.
In order to share a project, it must be exported from the Workbench it's currently in, saved
to a mutually accessible location, and then imported into the Workbench it's being shared
with.
It's possible to share multiple projects at once.
To export projects, right-click on one of the project names you want to share and select
"Export".
Choose General>Archive File for the export destination.
On the next screen, check the boxes by the projects you wish to export.
Note that a project must be open in the Workbench to be able to export it.
Select the location where you want the exported .zip file to be saved and give the file a
name.
Clicking "Finish" creates a .zip file containing the project information and saves it in the
specified location.
To access exported projects, they must be imported into your local copy of the Workbench.
To do this, select File>Import.
You want to import "Existing Projects Into Workspace".
Choose "Select Archive File" and specify the .zip file containing the projects.
Select which projects contained in the folder you wish to import and click "Finish".
The selected projects will now be open in your Workbench.
This feature makes it simple to share projects among users or between computers.
For more information about the Workbench and further instructions on how to use it, please
see our other screencasts.

Thank you for listening, and have a nice day!
