The fight with Gherran is long and tedious, but thankfully, it's possible to skip two
of his forms with the Morph Pounce.
While he's on his floating machine, climb up the first stealth track before engaging
his second phase.
Without moving too far past the top of the track, turn around and Morph Pounce at him.
Now Gherran won't attack and you're free to hit him as much as you like, draining his
entire health bar.
This skips two of his forms and lets you defeat him faster than any other method.
This also causes a glitch in the cutscene where his machine is still in view.
For dealing with his first phase, the most useful strategy is to catch him in a loop.
If you're close to Gherran, he won't use his laser, but will cycle between shooting a grenade
and using a shockwave.
After he fires a grenade, you can get three quick slashes in on him before he begins to
wind up.
It's even faster if you utilize the Stealth form's stealth ability, which forces Gherran
to cancel the laser and the shockwave.
Using this method is an entire minute faster than getting out of the range of his shockwave.
Returning to Sword form is important because Gherran fires at the ground if you're in Stealth
form.
Positioning yourself so he shoots toward the downward sloping section of the area helps
you avoid the radius of the grenade.
