"True love has no strings attached" ...these are the words on a sign just outside this
church in Wethersfield, the location of Adam and Alyssa Lewis' wedding service. And the
traditional first kiss at their ceremony is actually the couple's first kiss ever.
That's right. This is their first kiss since they met four years ago. And according to
the couple, saving the kiss until marriage is not a matter of religion, but a way to
show devotion and self control.
And shortly after their introductory smooch, Adam and Alyssa stepped off the alter to head
to their wedding reception.
It's been good to get everybody in here and just having fun and partying. Once everybody
else is having fun, it's a little easier.
Like this morning it wasn't even anything that was sinking in. I just kept saying to
myself, "I'm getting married today."
And as guests of Adam and Alyssa enjoy their meal here at the Hawthorne Inn, they are also
enjoying the presence of the newly weds and they have a lot of great things to say.
I think one of the great things about Adam and Alyssa is that you can just really tell
that they love eachother and that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.
Reporter: And they are together, with a kiss to prove it, but Denise Lewis says, it is
all about faith.
The greatest thing is that they both have a great faith in Christ and that's what brought
them together and that's what will keep them together. I don't feel like I'm losing a son,
I'm gaining a daughter.
Reporter: And while the Lewis family celebrates their gain. Adam and Alyssa seal their wedding
day with yet another kiss. This is Steve Saunders reporting.
