Hi! Kelly here. I wanted to walk you through the English Research Guide.

click Research Guides and then English 151/152
This site is a website, curated by us librarians that has lots of helpful links for this particular class.
You navigate through these tabs across the top. The first tab is a Library Overview.
You’ll see links back to the library.
Links to our online encyclopedias—Creedo Reference.
In the center is a youtube playlist which will walk you through the various resources in the library. I highly recommend it.
Below the videos you’ll see a search box, this is the same box that is on the library’s homepage.
Through this one box you can search through all the library’s books, eBooks, articles, etc.
Under my picture is the Research Help Now chat box.
Typing in a question and your email will connect you to a live librarian 24/7.
If the librarian who answers can’t help, we’ll be in touch during business hours by email.
You can also connect to the library via FaceBook—like our page, Please!
The Books tab connects to our book catalog and has lots of helpful videos on how to find books, ebooks, and books from other libraries
across the state that can be delivered to KCC library or to your local public library.
The Articles tab has videos talking about the various types of articles you can find in our databases as well as links to some of our most
popular databases for this class.
And if we don’t have the article in full-text that you really want we can get it for you—for free! It just takes time.
Websites has lots of tutorials and tools to help you determine if you are looking at a quality website—or not.
For college level research you want to use quality sites!
You’ve already seen the MLA tab. Some 152 classes require specific resources so I’ve collected these resources in the Class tab.
I hope you’ll find this site a useful tool to access library resources.
You’ll notice Comments buttons throughout—I’m always looking to improve the site!
Thank you!
