Hello, and welcome to Impression Tours. Today I want to show you how to create a template
of information common to all tours. Every Media Connexus virtual tour theme includes
fields for your contact information and information about you and your company. This information
rarely, if ever changes. So, it's a lot more efficient if you could just enter this information
once, then use that template for all future virtual tours. Let's get started.
Impression Tours launches to the Recent Tours screen. From here, select "New Tour". The
screen of installed themes will open and you can select the theme you wish to work with.
You'll need to create a template for each theme, so let's just pick the first one for
now.
When you start a new tour, Impression will open the theme and the Tour Information dialog
box. We'll talk about the Property Information page in another video. For now, let's select
the Common Information tab. All we need to do is fill out this form. I'll use a little
video magic so you don't have to sit there and watch me type.
Okay, that's all filled out. Select "OK".
Notice how all the information we put on the form is now placed where it needs to be in
the virtual tour.
There are some other common pieces of information in this theme though - a logo and a contact
picture. So, let's get those in.
We first need to import the media we wish to use into the Gallery. So, select this "Import
Media Asset" button. Navigate to the media you wish to use. And select "OK". Alternatively,
you could drag from any Windows Explorer window and drop into the Gallery toolbar. And remember,
since this is Impression, you can use many different types of media. You don't have to
use just static pictures.
Okay, so now that I have my logo and headshot, I simply need to drag them from the Gallery
to the stage. When I do, notice the red targets that appear on the stage. These targets show
where I can place media. Since this is my headshot, I want to put it next to the contact
info. Drop when your cursor is right over the target.
Next, we'll drag the logo to where it should be.
Okay, all the information common to all virtual tours is in and we're ready to save. Before
we do, I want to direct your attention to the fact that all this information has already
made its way to all the flyers. We could edit the flyers individually if we wanted different
information on the flyers, but having all the information flow directly to them cuts
out a lot of work for us.
Okay, let's click on the "Settings" tab up here and pay attention to this "Current Theme
Default Presentation" setting. Let's save the template. We can save it anywhere we want
and with whatever name we want. Once we save it, the "Current Theme Default Presentation"
becomes available. If we mark that setting, this template will open every time we start
a new tour with this theme. Let me show you.
We'll go back to the "Recent Tours" screen. Select "New Tour". And notice all the information
we just entered is entered for us, including the logo and contact picture.
That's really all there is to it. Thanks for watching!
