At Gracepoint Church our mission is love on a mission. we describe that as being the great
commandment plus the great commission equals love on a mission. You may ask "What's the
great commandment?" The great commandment is God says we should love him with all of
our heart and soul and being — everything we have. A wholehearted A prioritizing of
God in every relationship, every work engagement that we have. And this naturally flows not
just in the loving God, not just coming to church and love God and we're good for the
week , but that actually carries out into loving our neighbors as ourselves, prioritizing
other people in our lives, but loving people. loving people more than ourselves, recognizing
the fact that life is not all about us, our desires our needs but it is about loving other,
prioritizing others in every relationship that we have. Well that's the great commandment.
But the great commission is to make disciples. This is a natural outflow of the first two.
See God not only wants to change our lives, our relationship with him, our relationships
with others, but as he changes other's lives, he wants to bring them in to a relationship
with himself, a relationship that changes everything in an amazing way for your good
and for his glory, and when he does this he wants to take people that are naturally self
centered, self focused, bent on our own interests, our own ambitions, and turn them into people
that actually care about other people. So we say love on a mission we're talking about
love, yes love but a love that doesn't sit within the confines of a church building or
church wall or isn't just isolated to those that are already in the club. We're talking
about a love that actually is a part of the community, As we run across people on our
every day lives that we're engaging them, we're loving them, we're caring for their
needs, their hurts, their problems. This is love on a mission.
