Hello and welcome to Englishnaut.
I am your English teacher Sven.
This lesson is about days of the week.
Okay, let's get started.
There are one, two, three, four, five, six, seven days of the week.
The first day of the week is called
Monday, Monday.
The second day of the week is called
Tuesday, Tuesday. The third day of the week is called
Wednesday, Wednesday.
The fourth day of the week is called
Thursday, Thursday.
The fifth day of the week is called
Friday, Friday.
The sixth day of the week is called
Saturday, Saturday.
The seventh day of the week is called
Sunday, Sunday.
If today is Thursday
Then Wednesday was yesterday.
So we say.
Yesterday
was
Wednesday.
And tomorrow is Friday.
Remember here yesterday "was" because it is in the past.
Today is Thursday.
Tomorrow is Friday.
Now here
we can say
Tomorrow will be Friday
because it is in the future.
But usually when we are speaking I would say.
Tomorrow is Friday.
Both are ok.
And the last thing here.
Saturday and Sunday,
these two days are called
The Weekend.
The Weekend.
So Saturday and Sunday two days, the weekend.
Usually when people are not working.
That was a lesson on days of the week.
