Hi, my name is Harold Winchester, and today, I'm going to show you how to tie a square
knot, whenever you're using four lines. Now, if you look down at our table here, you can
see that I have four lines laid out, like so, and I've got two working ends, like so,
and basically, this is just going to be your normal square knot, except it's going to encompass
these two center ropes, within it, so what we're going to do, is basically, we're going
to lay that one over like so. We'll bring it under that one. Let's bring this one under,
and over, like so. That's going to create our first square knot, and as you can see,
within this loop here. It's already encompassed these two ropes, so doing the same thing here.
Go ahead and bring this one over and under, like so. Bring this one under that. Over,
under, and there you go. There's your square knot, and it's encompassing both of these
two center ropes, and of course, this will slide down as well, being almost like a slip
knot, and this is great for whenever you want to pack. Like maybe you have a long piece
of wood, that you want to just kind of stick through here, and pull it down, to pack it
with, so that's, oops that got all messed up on me. We'll tie it again. There you have
it. My name is Harold Winchester, and that is your square knot, using four lines.
