Just as a classroom seeks to integrate faith and learning
Student Life seeks to integrate faith and living.
Our students are actively involved in life the University - whether that's
involvement or participation in one of our
over 70 campus clubs and organizations or whether its playing intramurals or a varsity sport
or being a student leader in an organization such as Life Groups or
Focus groups or Residence Life or Student Government Association -
we definitely have
clubs or organizations to meet the needs of a vast variety of students in what their
particular interest may be.
And if we don't have it - each year we have students who propose new clubs and
organizations and those are accepted and started
and ultimately make this University a better place. Each year we have two
organizational fairs on campus and this really gives students the opportunity to go
around to
each club or organization to find out if it may be something that they would be
interested in.
Campus and Community: A Day of Remembrance and Service is a day
where we have over a thousand students faculty and staff that gather together to serve
Jackson and our local community. This is a day where we complete over 80
service projects in the local community. Having students involved outside of the classroom
in clubs or organizations or activities really does help them become part of this place.
