You know well spent aid achieves miracles, we've eradicated smallpox, we've nearly eradicated
polio and we're making huge strides now against malaria, which kills 4000 people every single
day, of which 75% are children under five. The truth is that your taxes are making a
real difference to grinding poverty around the world.
We're educating 5 million children, more than the whole of the primary school population in the
UK and at just 2.5% of the costs we pay for a British child.
So we want your views on the way your taxpayers money is being spent on British development policy.
We set up a consultation process on our strategy
for helping eradicate malaria, we set up another consultation, which you can find on our website,
which deals with the way we fund some of Britain's brilliant NGOs, who are making such a difference
to the fight against poverty all around the world.
You can contribute your thoughts to what we are doing by going to the DFID website.
We are making a difference, help us to make that difference better.
