I am Ann Reardon
This week I am making you a bonus mini episode on how to make mario mushrooms.
For the red I am using red candy melts, you can use white chocolate if you prefer and
colour it with oil based food colouring.
Melt them if you are using melts, or if you are using chocolate you will need to temper
it.
Then fill a silcone hemisphere mold. Leave it for a moment and then tip it out.
Scrape off any excess from around the tops. And then leave them upside down to set. If
you are using melts you can put it in the freezer and it will take around 10 minutes
if you are using chocolate then leave it one the bench to set. Then peel off the silicone
and you will have shiny red domes.
Melt some white chocolate or melts and use them to attach some white chocolate melts
or candy melts around the top of the domes.
Next take a small container, or I am using a measuring cup and fill it with white chocolate
and let it set firmly. Once it is firm you can just tip that out of the mold.
Use food safe edible marker and draw eyes onto the bottom half of you white chocolate
and then using some more melted chocolate attach the domes on top.
And you have some cut little mario mushrooms.
