MK Shimon Ohayon:
Mr. Chariman, friends from both political sides,
Yesterday, fifty five institutions and universities around the world have marked the beginning of the Israeli Apartheid Week.
The purpose of this anti-Semitic week is to tell about the State of Israel's alleged apartheid policy
In order to influence different countries around the world to pull their investments from Israel and to create boycott campaigns.
This anti-Semitic week is a clash with the nationalist Arab propaganda narrative, a narrative that does not have any connection to reality.
This anti-Semitic week is based on the argument that states that our right for this land, all of it, is illegal.
But this must be said clearly, this is the new anti-Semitism, and it is a delegitimization campaign against the Jewish country.
Regardless to our natural right over the land and to the legal reality
These areas are considered to not have any sovereignty because the Arabs rejected the partition plan
Thus, the Mandate, under which the Land of Israel was designated to be establish as the national home for the Jewish people, remains unchanged.
The Israeli apartheid is a lie based on antI-Semitism.
As the chairman of the caucus for combating anti-Semitism, I wish to support and encourage
Dor Glick from the London School of Economics, Ishay Mishor, an Oxford student,
And many hundreds of active, Jewish, Israeli students
And of course, all fair students in campuses around the world
who stand firm against the delegetimization and anti-Semitic campaign in their educational institutions. Thank you.
