Today I will show you how to make Authentic Chapli Kabob
For this recipe, we will need the following ingredients:
Ground Beef (2 lbs )
Green onions (2 bunches) and Cilantro (1 bunch), Diced
Fresh green peppers (4-5 pcs)
Diced Onions (x3 large)
Eggs (x2)
Minced Garlic (1 Tbsp)
Tomato (x1) Diced and Cut
Gram flour (1 cup)
Coriander Powder (1 Tbsp)
Black Peppers (1/2 Tbsp)
Fresh chili (1 Tbsp)
Turmeric (1 Tsp)
Salt - as needed
Shan Chapli Kabob (optional)
Its time to mix all the ingredients and prepare the meat mixture for the chapli kabob
I will start with mixing the onions with the minced meat.
Use half of the onions and leave the other half for later use.
add the 1 Tbsp of garlic. Garlic in an important ingredient in this recipe.
1 - 1.5 Tbsp equivalent of fresh green peppers.
Add half of the diced Cilantro and green onions in to the mix
Add 1 tbsp of Coriander Powder
Add 1 Tbsp of black peppers
Chapli kabob is supposed to be spicy so I will add some chili in the recipe but this is optional.
Add 1 tsp of Turmeric.
Add 1 cup of Gram flour (chickpeas flour)
Add 1 tsp of Shan Chapli Kabob
I have washed my hands and now I will knead the mix and continue until the meat has a sticky texture.
I have been kneading the dough for about 4-5 minutes now. I will add the tomatoes in the meat mix
I will also add 2 eggs in the mix.
Knead the mixture with the tomato and the eggs.
I kneaded the meat mixture for another 3-4 minutes and now I will let it cool for 10-15 minutes then we will cook the Chapli Kabobs.
After letting the meat mixture cool for a few minutes, I am now going to cook the chapli kabobs.
I have heated some canola oil in a large pan in high temperature.
But I will reduce the heat to medium temperature to cook the Chapli Kabobs.
I also have a cup a cup of water near me to wet my hands to handle the meat mixture properly.
Its up to you to decide the size of the chapli kabobs.
Use your hands to roll the meat mixture into meatballs and then flatten it using your palms.
Make sure you make them thin so its easier to cook in the cooking oil.
Chapli Kabobs are deep fried inside large quantity of oil so make sure you have good amount of Canola oil
