To Makkah..
The leader of the army was, as we all know, Abraha
His name means ' the white face' in the Abyssinian Language.
Allah, Almighty said:"Have you not considered, [O Muhammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?"
Abraha came with his army..
He passed by many Arab tribes on his way to Makkah
To make it brief...
He passed by a man called Nofail..
He took him as a prisoner..
No body tried to fight him back as he seemed very powerful..
And his army was huge..something they were not able to deal with...
Till he reached the valley of Al-Mughamas..
close to the borders of Makkah
The name of the elephant was Mahmoud...as narrated..
It kneeled down !!
When the camel of the prophet SAW Kneeled down like that, the prophet SAW said:' She was prevented the same way the elephant was prevented'
Before the elephant kneels down..
That man called Nofail, came to it..
He said to the elephant in his ear:
'Kneel down, Mahmoud..[blessed]'
'You are on the Al-Haram [forbidden] land of Allah..'
'Or turn back.. better guided'
Then he climbed up the mountain saying..
' There is no place to escape to from Allah.'
' And the man with a cut lip is the one who is going be defeated...he will not win'
So, The elephant kneeled down..
They whipped it with whips.. and it didn't move...
If they direct it to go north...it responds..
If they direct it to any direction other than Al-Bait, it responds..
But if they direct it towards Al-Bait, it refuses to move and kneels down!
Put all what was narrated about this story aside and look to the lesson!
What happened here is for us to reflect upon...why...?
What is the lesson here?
This elephant is just an animal
Inspite of that, when it was asked to..
demolish the Bait of Allah...It refused!!
All the believers..
If anyone was asked to share...
with as small as a needle thread..
In the process of destructing the Deen of Allah...it is expected that he refuses too
Don't you ever have a part of that...not with your connections...
Not with your wealth...
Not with your pen..
Not with your authority or your tongue
To turn down any part of the Deen of Allah
Keep in your mind that the Deen of Allah is predominant
Look at this animal which knows nothing..
When it was directed to the Bait...it felt that it was asked to do a huge thing...so, it refused!
To ruin the Deen of Allah is considerably enormous thing to do..
Actually there are people trying to do so..
These people...
Allah said that they are inferior to animals..
But you are still responsible of your actions...and judged accordingly
Don't you ever make Allah catches you...
trying to destroy or manipulate any part of His Deen..
We are not talking about disobeying Allah by mistake or unintentionally..
All the sons of Adam make mistakes..
And if we are exposed to one another , we might not share in putting any one of us in his grave
We ask Allah for secrecy, forgiveness and strength..
But...
To step forward willingly...
Using an ability which was given to him from Allah..
using this grace to try to destroy the Deen of Allah...
Or to distract people from worshiping Allah..
Or to divert them from obedience of Allah...
Or to invite them to take important matters lightly ..e.g. the belief of the oneness of Allah..
and the commands of Allah..
What Allah glorified must be honored..
And the opposite is correct..
As people who do so are in the lowest levels of Hellfire, we seek refuge in Allah...
There are others who are guided by Allah..
They put their efforts to build..
The Deen of Allah
They widespread the Deen...raise its word...and revive the Sunnah...
The person who does so will be at the highest ranked levels by the mercy of Allah
we understand this from the words of Allah:
"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah "
As there in no one greater than Allah...
So, no one is better than the one who invites to Allah
Allah says: "And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah "
"and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims.""
We all know...
It is unlikely for this to happen nowadays...
Some one who is a Muslim..
they ask him to demolish the Kabbah then he goes for it...it is unlikely to happen this way!!
But the lesson here is broad...
The person must realizes, why he or she was created?
When the slave knows why he or she was created...
He or she would fear Allah and worship Him.
In Hadeeth... which I had mentioned before...
The prophet SAW told us about a man...he rode on the back of a cow...
So, when he was on top of it...
to take him somewhere..
The cow said to him: ' We were not created for this purpose'
He said: ' Glory to Allah, how could this cow speek!!'
So, the cow found it strange that the man rides on top of it..
It is not created to be a ride, it is created to farm the land..
And we are only created to worship Allah.
So, nothing should divert us from worshiping our Lord, Almighty.
Today, life in the western countries..
Is indulged in obscenity, amusements, and immorality...every one knows that...
And this is broadcasted everywhere...in the form of cultures..
In the form of TV series...translated..
Or as movies..
Some people bring these to us...
And spread it amoung others..
The purpose is to influence others to ...
adopt this kind of behaviour
By Allah, these people has forgotten...they don't have logic...they don't know why they are created?
We must think..why Allah created us...
of course, not because He needs to have more creations around Him..
Not because He needs their support
He, Almighty created them only to worship Him.
If everyone knows this fact, he would never work hard in any field better than in worshiping Allah...
he would never keep talking about anything greater than remembrance of Allah
And his fingertips shouldn't be busy doing anything other than [Tasbeeh]
You all know..
It is an instinct of human beings...
That their foreheads are the sites of their dignity..
So, the closer one of them to Allah..
Is the one who agrees...willingly...
To prostrate... putting his forehead on the ground...
Glorifying Allah...
Wheather while praying [Fard] prayers..
Or praying [Nafilah] prayers...
But..
Remember the story of the elephant...
Let not the elephant be knowledgeable of Allah better than you!!
