JOHN SEXTON: Hi. I'm John Sexton on behalf of Expert Village. Today we're going to be
learning how to play Portal, a game by Valve Software, a company with which I have no affiliation.
Now we can keep on exploring. Now we have a couple of staircases here to go up, nothing
too hard so far. "A little bit more of the cake is a lie." I think we pretty well understand
that by now, and some hand prints which kind of mark the way and tell us where to go. So
we see that this is a cube dispenser tube, but it works for test subjects as well. And
we're just going to ride this tube to wherever it's going to take us, and it spit us out on top of the cube dispenser,
naturally. So we can go in there and we find that we're a little bit too heavy and we break
the doors for the cube dispenser. And if we look around this is the familiar test chamber
that we were in earlier and the one that we were just looking at through that window.
But we don't have a cube anymore, and the force field's still active, so we're going
to have to find some way to get out of here. If you go to your right, there's the elevator
chamber, but it won't open so we can't leave that way. So what we can do is shoot a portal
up above the pressure plate and then make a portal under these broken door fragments.
They're too heavy to pick up, but you can still use portals. And if they fall onto the
pressure plate, they'll open the door.
