Telavancin is a prescription medication used to treat certain kinds of bacterial infections.
Telavancin belongs to a group of drugs called lipoglycopeptide antibiotics, which work by
stopping the growth and spread of bacteria. This medication comes in an injectable form
to be given directly into a vein by a healthcare provider. Common side effects of telavancin
include diarrhea, vomiting, a metallic or soapy taste, and foamy urine. Use this medication
