Yelena is a 14 year-old girl. She lives with Anne, her grandmother.
Yelena's parents died in a plane crash
when she was 8 years old.
From that moment she felt so alone
even if he grandmother constantly took care
of her.
Yelena did not have a great time at school
because she always had to listen to her classmates
talking about their adventures with their parents.
The only thing she enjoyed was spending time with her grandmother
listening to her fantasy stories.
Anne was a seventy year-old woman.
She could not do so much because of her age,
but the most important thing for her was keeping up Yelena's spirit doing what
she knew best
telling stories.
Meanwhile, time passed slowly.
Each new day, she started to understand that people could live this world at any
time.
Past did not matter, nor did the present or the future.
"Things are as they are."
she said.
so Yelena began to see her life as something she could take advantage of
and make herself and others happy as Anne,
her grandmother,
did with her.
She decided to turn her life
into a sea of opportunities
where she could learn everything she wanted to know.
The first thing she thought of was her grandmother.
she was her inspiration to become a storyteller because doing so
she could approach people making them feel
all the sensations of their souls.
She whished to make people laugh and cry with her stories,
her own stories.
Soon, she became the focus of attention not only of people at her school,
but also of the entire village.
She felt her life was to tell stories to people.
In each story she expressed her point of view of life.
Everybody in the village helped her in anything she needed.
Anne was very impressed by Yelena's great performance
Her grandmother went to Yelena's performances,
and she listened
to each one with emotion.
Anne felt she did what she had to do.
Nevertheless, what Yelena accomplished in very short time time was
not enough to her.
She wanted more.
She wanted to share her gift with people from unknown places.
After school, she enrolled in college in a distant city.
She was very happy because all the things she once dreamed would become real.
However, one thing stopped her.
she was worried about her grandmother.
She wondered who would take care of her.
Yelena did not want to go far from her.
Anne knew
what her granddaughter was worrying about,
so she told her
what she needed to know.
"My girl, you must pursuit your dreams.
I am an elderly persone who only has one thing left
which is to take my last breath,
and I know how to take care of myself.
I did what I had to do.
Now, you have an open door in front of you
waiting for you go through."
and so it was.
Yelena followed her grandmother's advice.
She understood
she should pursuit her happiness.
Therefore,
she went to college,
and while she studied she did what she liked most
telling stories.
