Big games this week in NCAA Football.
Watch football this weekend to see several big games take place in NCAA College Football.
Here’s a run-down of which big games not to miss on Saturday, September 15.
Number five Florida State takes on Wake Forrest with a kick-off time of 12 ET. Florida State
comes in to the game as a three-touchdown favorite over the unranked Demon Deacons.
The Seminoles lost to Wake Forrest a year ago. Florida State is currently ranked third
overall in total points scored and also break into the Top 25 in total offensive yards gained.
With their big offensive weapons, including a high-rated quarterback and several key receivers,
the Florida State Seminoles look to win big this Saturday.
Also at 12 ET, the number 13 Virginia Tech Hokies take on the Pittsburgh Panthers at
Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. Virginia won their first two games of the season while playing
at home. Pittsburgh was victorious in the last meeting of these two rivals, which occurred
all the way back in 2003, before Virginia Tech changed to a different conference. Virginia
Tech enters the game a 10 point favorite over the Panthers and is looking to improve their
overall record to three and zero on the season.
Number one ranked Alabama travels to Arkansas this weekend to take on the unranked Razorbacks,
with a kickoff time slated for 3 ET. The Razorback’s star quarterback is unlikely to play due to
a head injury he suffered in a previous game this year. With an injury-riddled offense,
the Arkansas team is a three-touchdown underdog in this week game. Look for Alabama to win
big on the road this weekend.
At 3:30 ET in NCAA football, Massachusetts takes on number 17 ranked Michigan. The Minutemen
have zero wins on the season and will be looking to score their first victory of the year.
The Wolverines are coming off a slashing by number one Alabama and are looking for another
win to add to their season. While Michigan is ranked in the Top 25 in the polls, they
are not ranked any higher than 76th in any offensive category. Despite this low offensive
ranking, the Michigan Wolverines are still a 46 point favorite over the Massachusetts
Minutemen this weekend.
Also at 3:30 P.M. ET, the Tarheels of North Carolina travel to Kentucky to play the Louisville
Cardinals. The Tarheels are ranked above Louisville in total offensive yards gained, rushing yards,
and points scored. However, Louisville enters the game as a slight three point favorite.
Also this weekend, number 18 Florida battles number 23 Tennessee in Knoxville, Tennessee.
The Volunteers rank higher than the Gators in every single offensive category, including
holding a spot in the top-25 rankings in total offensive yards gained and points scored.
Tennessee has had two decisive victories in their first two games of the season. They
enter the game as a three point favorite over the Gators. Look for a close battle at Neyland
Stadium this weekend. Kickoff is at six P.M. ET.
With a 7:30 ET kickoff, the number two ranked USC Trojans travel to California to take on
the Stanford Cardinals. The Cardinals are ranked number 21 at this point in the season
in the BCS standings. USC is 14th in overall offensive yards gained, which will help them
to put points on the board. Stanford has won four of the last five contests between the
two teams, so USC will be out for blood. While the USC Trojans are currently favored by eight
points, look for this to be a hard-hitting, closely-played football game.
With an eight P.M. ET start time, the Idaho Vandals travel to Louisiana to play the Tigers
of LSU. The Tigers are playing the season without three of their stars, who are ineligible
to play at this time. However, they are currently ranked 11th in rushing yards and have several
powerful running backs who are capable of gaining big yardage. The Idaho Vandals have
lost their first two games of the season by large margins. Currently, the Tigers of LSU
are favored by a whopping 42.5 points over the Vandals of Idaho.
Number 20 ranked Notre Dame travels to Michigan to take on big rival number 10 ranked Michigan
State. The Michigan State Spartans have not allowed an offensive touchdown to be scored
on them yet this season. However, the Spartans do rate eighth in the nation in total yards
allowed in the FBS. Overall, the two teams appear to be pretty evenly matched, with the
Michigan State Spartans being a six point favorite over the Irish of Notre Dame on Saturday.
Watch football this weekend for many fantastic NCAA football games that will excite any College
football fan.
