Welcome to BAU-T.
I'm Enes Aktel.
Today is Tuesday the 19th of June.
Let's have a look at our shcool.
Today Caps and Gowns were given to the students
who are graduating this year.
Let's have a look.
Caps And Gowns.
Today the ninth organization of the World CO-OP Federation organized a lunch.
Let's have a look.
The World CO-OP Federation Conferance and Lunch.
Today on our school terras NTV did a live broadcast of their Night and Day program.
Let's have a look.
We managed to sneak an interview with Yektar Kopam who will be on the Night and Day program.
I would firstly like to say that I'm a huge fan.
Could you please tell us why you choose our school for your program
and what you think of Bahçeşehir University over all?
We chose Bahçeşehir University for two reasons,
firstly we come here to make use of its locations
and we come here often to take pictures
and as you know the location of a live broadcast is very important.
Because what we do is all about vision,
creating a connecting between the host, the guest and the location is very important.
So the image that we show the audience is very improtant.
So we get very good images from here and the opportunities that Bahçeşehir University
provides for us play a huge part as well.
So we can work very productively
thanks to the opportunities they provide for us.
So we like to take advatage of the various locations here.
And today we're here with İlhan Şeşen.
He has a concert tomorrow.
We will have an interview with İlhan Şeşen.
before his concert on the Night and Day program.
The type of program that you do,
I mean a program that pays more attention to the fine arts,
don't happen very often in Turkey.
Do you think that
Turkey is lacking in that respect?
I think to say that they don't really happen is the whole truth.
Nearlly all news channels have this sort of program.
Maybe just the way we broadcast is different.
There are similar programs but there's not enough of them.
There's is not enough time given to them,
their broadcasting times are not great
and they're not given the respect that they deserve.
But this was inescapable,
if you look at how many pages are dedicated to Culture and Art in
the best selling Turkish newspapers or if you look at the investments
made in culture and art you can see the reason why this is happening.
This isn't just a missing part of newspapers and television
or media in general
but in Turkey's politics towards culture and art
and I'm not talking about daily politics but politics that last for years.
There's a lack in the education of culture and art.
So by making these programs what I and my co-workers are trying to do
is just fill in the gaps the best way that we possibly can
but there's not much we can do.
Your progam is a great help in that respect.
Thankyou.
And as a fan
I particullary like your voice overs.
It's impossible to listen to your voice and not to like it.
That's just my opinion but maybe you've heard it a lot.
You've become famous for Marty Mcfly.
I would just like to ask something about that.
Of course if there's no problem with it but how old are you?
21
And this is really interesting for me and I really want to say that
when talking about Marty Mcfly
if I remember correctly I did that around twenty years ago.
So you were either a new born or not around yet.
And so were a lot of your friends.
So that means
it spread around so much
that you and your generation
were able to follow it
and that really makes me happy
to be able to have that positive reaction from you
and the generatons before and after yours.
But it also surprizes me so much.
I was expecting it to be something that was long forgotten.
I'm curious about what went on throughout the voice overs
and how you got the offer in the first place.
In that time in Turkey
many of the channels
had only just started broadcasting.
And there was a huge amount of foreign films being broadcasted.
So we were talking about so many films
that we would offers for films before we even had time to think.
So I decided that he was
the best choice for the tone of my voice
and character.
And then I got the offer.
So I voiced him over a couple of times because different films
were broadcasted on different channels at different times
So when the voice of other roles changed
I decided not to.
And voiced it over two or three times.
So when Sezai Aydin, Ercan Demirel
and Rüştü Asaylı voiced over in three different versions
I did Marty Mcfly in them all.
Maybe the fact that I had done it before helped it
stay around this long but I don't know.
It was fun to work there.
When I look back at all the voice overs
that I have done it really is a favourite.
So you're glad that you did it.
I had fun.
Don't go into being
glad about doing something.
Even if you make mistakes a person grows from making them.
Just like they do from success.
I put in the same effort for the ones
which turned out bad as the ones which turned out good.
I worked with the same tempo.
That's all I knew how to do was work.
I worked and thanks to the stuff that's left over
we're now talking here today.
Ok, so let me ask my last question.
Can you tell me why people sould watch
and follow your program?
Culture and art bring together all
the elements that make us us.
The elements that make us human.
We made up of many different things but the fine arts
and great feelings really gives us and intellectual outlook
and allows us to get to know different worlds.
And this happens with the broadcasting of this type of programs.
You may not like everything that's presented to you
or you might.
We cover everything,
exihibits, opera, ballet, concerts, theatre, cinema...
you'll like some of them and others you wont.
But because of these programs broadcasted
not just by NTV but the other news channels
you will really broaden your horizons.
So those who really have broad horizons
should keep watching my show.
Thankyou for that and let's not keep you too long you have a live broadcast to do.
Thankyou
That's all from What's going on in BAU? for today.
Don't forget to follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
Take care.
