So when collecting flow blue, my recommendation is to go out and seek out some of these books
that are specific to what you want to collect and this one is the encyclopedia of Flow Blue
China. A nice book with a lot of different examples of the time frame and it also gives
you price ranges in there and it gives you a little bit of history. So this is a really
good book to start with and there are some other ones here. This is White Ironstone which
is the vase that we are looking at here and most is Flow Blue and it has a variety of
different types of blue. This is a Flow Blue pattern and this is a later pattern. This
is a Mulberry pattern strawberry, this is a cob luster pattern and a gold gilded pattern
but these are all different varieties. You can see the different examples and it might
help you to try to choose what pattern you might like and what particular Flow Blue you
want to collect. This is a very inexpensive book, Shroeders Book and it gives you a wide
range of different types of porcelain. Not a lot of information but a good starter book.
You can also go to the library and if they don't have these books, you can ask them to
get them for you so you don't have to spend a great deal of money. You can go into a place
like Barnes and noble and have a great resource there to start looking to see what it is you
might want to collect. So those are a few sources for you to start to look and see the
different patterns that are available for you to collect.
