I think that certain aspects of being part of a nation can impact your personal identity and how you destinguish yourself.
Which apects the individual relates with is their own choice.
Being born and growing up in Canada has instilled in me a sense that I will always refer to myself as a Candian (even though im half filipino
That being said i also feel like on a minor level if any I feel a part of the Filipino-Canadian community having been being exposed to their
cultures and traditions for most of my life.
I also consider myself to be a better person through attending catholic schools all my life and being of the catholic faith helps me to make
better moral choices
Attending Bishop Grandin High School is another thing i identify myself with, liking the school very much, therefore being proud of it
Finally, I find myself categorizing myself with the ''gamer nation''.
I think that this nation's individuals have alot in common with eachother and can (most of the time) easily relate to things, events, troubles,
etc. of fellow gamers and therefore can connect to someone easier knowing that they have a common interest (like all things).
In conclusion, the extent that nation should be the foundation for identity depends soley on the person in question.
