You can access the phone's main menu in one of several ways. Pressing
the `more' softkey and then the `menu' softkey. Pressing the menu
feature key. Or by pressing the "check" button that in the center of
the navigation keys.
On the menu screen you can press the “select” softkey to
select an option. The check-mark graphic on this softkey denotes that
you can press either the check key or the primary select key to
accomplish the same action. While navigating menus you will see some
softkeys with arrow icons or an `x' icon. This means that you can use
the arrows keys or the `x' key to perform these softkey actions.
On the other hand, the `x' in the upper right corner of the screen
denotes that the primary line key can be used to exit the screen.
From the idle screen you can press "check-check" to reach the `about'
page. This gives you quick access to vital information such as the
phone model, Firmware version, MAC address and IP address. You may
need to access this information when talking to your system
administrator or Digium's technical support.
From the Main Menu select `preferences' and `Display settings' to
adjust the brightness and contrast of your display.
Selecting `Sound Settings' allows you to choose your Default Ringtone
and adjust volume settings.
On a d50 phone the option "Print DESI strip" will appear on the
preferences menu. Selecting this option will give you the web address
to access an auto-generated, printer-friendly version of your
DESI-strip. Type this URL into a web browser and you will download a
PDF that you can print from your computer. This eliminates the need
use writing or white-out on the strip and makes it simple to print a
new DESI strip anytime you update your Switchvox phonebooks.
Under the Advanced menu, you have the option to reconfigure your phone
for another server or set the phone to its factory default settings.
Perform these operations with extreme caution as an improperly
configured phone may not be able to make or receive calls. You should
only use these options if instructed to do so by your System
Administrator.
