Were outside the Daily Mail headquarters. This is where Richard Littlejohn wrote an
article against Islam and Muslims when it came to Legoland. He mocked Muslims about
apostasy, about stoning, about mutilation and all these other random issue. And the
message I wanna give is this; Islam will spread, and people like him are just gonna become
dust in history. People throughout history have mocked Islam, but that has not stopped
Islam spreading, and what were doing today is were postively articulating the message
of Islam for the public so that people like him cant feed off the ignorance of people. So,
after engaging positively with the local people and showing the true message of Islam with
them, we decided to approach the Daily Mail offices and just outside the office we came
across a group of guys we asked them if they read Richards article and what they thought.
And in particular this one gentleman who actually works for the Daily Mail thats... this gentleman
here with the blue jacket. He basically, as soon as he saw the camera he didn't want to
engage with us, he didn't want to talk to us, he just wanted to get away.Which was expected,
so.. what we decided to do was carry on, positively engaging with the people, so we approached
another group of guys, and these guys work for the Regional news and we asked them if
they had read the article, written by Richard. They hadn't, but what they decided to do was
'pull out' the article on their phone, and decided to go through it. Now, whats interesting
is that these guys work in the field and work in the media, and this gentleman in the red
(polo shirt) and whats interesting to note is that as he stated to work through the article,
he was really dismade and shocked at the content, you can see by his expressions he wasnt really
expecting what he was reading. And as he worked through the article, he agreed with us that
such articles dont do anything positive for media outlets, such as Daily Mail nor do they
do anything positive as far as in removing the misconceptions that surround Islam. So,
you know we engaged wiht these people, and some of these people were really happy that
we were out there and we were positively engaging with the people, communicatig the true message
of Islam. We at the end went into the offices and attempted to meet Richard, we were told
he wasnt there, and eventually we basically left. So I guess the take on message from
this is especially for the Muslims is that whenever such opportunity arises an someone
misrepresents Islam, take this opportunity to go out an give Dawah to positively communicate
the message of Islam with the people, with the masses. [Recitation of Quran].
