Welcome to my studio my name is Lars Robinson and I'm an illustrator. Today we are going
to draw a pony and we are going to draw it in front of a horse because they're kind of
similar, ponies are smaller and I thought it would be a good contrast to this white
horse that I did in the background. I started with the shape here, I have a reference photo,
reference photo is always great. But I do encourage you guys to go in real life and
look in real life and sketch what you see. I love doing that, I go to Starbucks, I go
to all different live places and do that. Today we are going to draw this little pony
and it's right in front of this big horse. And ponies are very similar to horses, they're
just smaller they have a really big head normally. Their heads are almost like a caricaturized
head of a dog, of a horse. So we got that right there and the hooves are the same way.
They come down and they're strong and they give it a base to it. And when it comes down
to the bottom of horses they have an angle right there at the end, that slants towards
the front of them. If you are looking at the front of them you won't be able to see that,
but obviously because it's to the side you can. And maybe you see the little underneath
hooves. But that gives you an idea of, of how to do that. Well I hope you guys enjoyed
that instruction on how to do a little small pony and you understand that ponies have bigger
heads and their bodies are smaller. You guys have a great day and keep on drawing, remember
art and entertainment is a wonderful thing when mixed together. Artainment enjoy.
